Resizing the calendar

Unread post by bandel4 » Mon May 10, 2010 9:55 am

Hi there...
First of all...thank you for the plugin.
I was looking for a calendar plugin and yours really made it!

I have created a page, called 'Calendar' and inserted the code {calendar} into it. Works well except for the calendar size is too big, overlapping into my page right column.

How can I change the size of the calendar so that it does not overlap into my right hand column?

I am just starting the site...so don't laugh!

To change the size you'll need to modify the style on the Calendar options page in the admin panel

Hi Kieran...
Thanks but can you please tell me what I need to change?
I am very new to WP and have not a clue with programming language.

I tried changing some of the 'width' numbers on the style option but nothing happened. Can you help to tell me exactly where I need to change?
Please?

Hi:

In calendar options, I tried to change width as follows:

.calendar-table {
border:none;
width:500px;
}

However, nothing happened. (Page: http://www.mahalasa.org/index.php/?page_id=7). Please suggest something.

After looking all over the place, I finally went back to my stylesheet (style.css) and did it! Thanks anywayz!

I had a problem with this too. My theme is an Artisteer theme, but that wasn't the problem.

The way I got it to work was:

Go to CALENDAR OPTIONS from the Dashboard.
Go to "Configure the stylesheet for Calendar"
Go past ".calendar-table" to this:

.calendar-month {
width:600px;
text-align:center;
font-weight:bold;
}

I changed the width to 600px for my theme. Just play with this figure 'till you get what you want.

Hi,

I'm having the same problem. My overflowing Calendar can be seen here.

I've tried changing every one of the width attributes under Calendar Options > Configure the stylesheet for Calendar, but none appear to have had any effect.

I'm not a programmer, so I could well be doing something simple wrong. I would greatly appreciate any assistance.

In Calendar Options, find
}
.calendar-table {
border:0 !important;
width:100% !important;
border-collapse:separate !important;
border-spacing:2px !important;
}
and change the width percentage.

Hi. Thanks for the suggestion, but it seems to have no effect.

RoadToGM, your issue seems to be the width of your event titles. Shorten them and I think that your calendar will shrink. Your CSS is setup fine.
