ICS issues

Unread post by EricD » Fri May 05, 2017 3:08 pm

Overall a great plugin, however, the ICS feed has a few issues.

1) There is no timezone information in the feed or events
This causes all times in my subscription to be treated as UTC, which is 4 hours off the local time. I'm testing a fix for that.

2) Recurring event instances all use the same UID
This causes the events to not display at all in subscriptions. Not sure what can be used to make the UID unique and permanent.

3) The DTSTAMP value in the iCal feed is incorrectly formatted
We get 20170505UTC11060000 instead of 20170505T110600Z

Code: Select all

DTSTAMP:".date("YmdTHisZ")."
The T gets converted to a time zone and the Z to a time offset. Escaping T and Z is the cleanest solution.

Code: Select all

DTSTAMP:".date("Ymd\THis\Z")."
