From the look of the feature set of Lighter Menus, I can't see why it would cause a valid page to throw a 404 - it doesn't seem to modify any of the links, merely change how they are displayed.

I will investigate however and see if one of the plugins is in breach of plugin design convention. If it is mine I'll release an update.

I am getting a 404 error as well. Here is the text of the 404 error

Not Found

The requested URL /blog2.0/wp-admin/calendar.php was not found on this server.
Apache/2.0.50 (Fedora) Server at www.realmendo.com Port 80

I thought it was odd that it is looking for calendar.php in the wp-admin folder since that file is in /wp-content/plugins/calendar

I have disabled all other plugins and still the same problem

I am running this on wordpress 2.0

I tried putting a copy of calendar.php in wp-admin but no dice.

Any suggestions?

Here is a portion of the source for the admin page

<ul id="adminmenu">

<li><a href='http://www.realmendo.com/blog2.0/wp-adm ... rd</a></li>
<li><a href='http://www.realmendo.com/blog2.0/wp-adm ... te</a></li>
<li><a href='http://www.realmendo.com/blog2.0/wp-adm ... ge</a></li>
<li><a href='http://www.realmendo.com/blog2.0/wp-adm ... ks</a></li>
<li><a href='http://www.realmendo.com/blog2.0/wp-adm ... on</a></li>

<li><a href='http://www.realmendo.com/blog2.0/wp-admin/plugins.php' class="current">Plugins</a></li>
<li><a href='http://www.realmendo.com/blog2.0/wp-adm ... rs</a></li>
<li><a href='http://www.realmendo.com/blog2.0/wp-adm ... ns</a></li>
<li><a href='http://www.realmendo.com/blog2.0/wp-adm ... rt</a></li>
<li><a href='http://www.realmendo.com/blog2.0/wp-adm ... ></li></ul>

It shows that is it looking in /wp-admin for calendar.php

Is this user configurable? I thought the contents of the plugin would control that. I am pretty new to wordpress and php.

See, thats the problem. The plugin does set the URL however it should be:
http://yourdomain.com/yourblog/wp-admin ... lendar.php

I can't work out why your site is not showing the correct link, I certainly haven't programmed it to show the link you are seeing.

Hmm, see I wonder, looking at your source now I see that it is more than just the link that is different to what I would expect. What version of WordPress are you using?

Yes I failed to mention that I am running wordpress 2.0.

Does the calendar plugin work with wordpress 2.0?

I need to run this version because the server I am on is running mysql 3.xx.xx. I know that I researched 2.5 and found that I must be running a 4.XX version of mysql or better.

It should work with 2.0. I'll run some tests and see if there is a bug that needs fixing.

404 errors in the 2.0.x legacy branch of WordPress have now been fixed.

Download the development version of Calendar as listed here:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/calendar/download/

A new stable version will be released soon which will include this fix and a few others that have come to light recently.
