Calendar Widget in Multiple Sidebars

Unread post by Antonimo » Fri Dec 19, 2014 11:00 am

Hi,

First, thanks for creating this great plugin.

Is it possible to display the Calendar widget in more than one sidebar?

I added the widget to a sidebar and it is no longer in the list of Available Widgets, so I cannot see how to add it to a different sidebar.

Alternatively, is there a short code to display the upcoming event for a particular category in a sidebar/widget position?

Thanks,

hello,

on my site I also want to display the upcoming events as a widget in the footer and a sidebar. When I add upcoming events in footer, I can't add it to the next widget.

Is a (simple) solution available?

If you are running the latest version then yes; you can add the shortcode

Code: Select all

[calendar type=mini]
to a text widget in your sidebar with a suitable title and you'll get what you're after

thank you for your reply, but I want to display the upcoming events in a list, not in a calendar.

Is that possible with a different shortcode?

Ah, I see, yes, still need to add that short code. Will get onto it for the next release.

Hi Kieron - did you get anywhere with this shortcode?

I too want to insert a calendar in list view on this page of my site - https://wrexhamscouts.org.uk/training - rather than the calendar view. Either on the main section of the page, or in a sidebar.

Apologies no, this didn't actually make it in the version I've just pushed out, will look at it now

This is a nice plugin!!
Do you by chance have an update on the status of this modification - i have a site that has your plugin installed and the client is wanting to show both the calendar and listing of events and listing of meetings. And then on another page just the listing of all events... Is there a workaround if you haven't updated your plugin yet?? or any documentation on the shortcodes that are available to use??
