I hate to keep this topic going, but I'm getting this error and I don't know why. I've used the plugin on other sites with no problem, but this one is getting to me. When I run the SQL command on page 1 of this forum, it tells me that the wp_calendar table doesn't exist, and I see that it surely does not.
I've used the development version as well as the latest 1.2.3 one. Each time I tried a new version, I've deleted the tables and files. I've tried to figure out how to build that table myself, but I'm not exactly an expert.
I'm on php 3.3.5; Apache/2.2.16; and mysql 5.1.49
Any tips?
Attached is a screengrab of the database tables installed when I 'activate' the plugin through wordpress. Thanks for any assistance!! I did browse through all of these helpful forums before I posted-- I promise : )

I too am having this same error and am awaiting a fix. I am currently evaluating a few other calendar plugins for WordPress but have been most impressed with this one, assuming I can one day add new events to the calendar. :D

My Database has only the calendar_categories, calendar_config, wp_calendar_categories and wp_calendar_config tables that pertain to calenders. My SQL skills are a bit "limited" so I'm not sure how to create the necessary tables.

Thanks very much!

Hello again. I'm just wondering if this issue has been fixed yet. I'm anxious to get a calendar plugin working on my site and I really want to use this one.

Thanks very much!

Can anyone tell me which tables I SHOULD have in my DB so I can at least verify that they're there?

Thanks.

How could I go about running the script that recreates all the necessary database tidbits? Would this be a pretty easy thing to do?

Thanks.

I didn't get a chance to push this fix out before my holiday and due to limited internet access, won't be able to until I return.

You should have the following tables in your database to make calendar work

Code: Select all

wp_calendar
wp_calendar_config
wp_calendar_categories
You're probably missing the wp_calendar table, the code to create this is

Code: Select all

CREATE TABLE wp_calendar (
                                event_id INT(11) NOT NULL AUTO_INCREMENT ,
                                event_begin DATE NOT NULL ,
                                event_end DATE NOT NULL ,
                                event_title VARCHAR(30) NOT NULL ,
                                event_desc TEXT NOT NULL ,
                                event_time TIME ,
                                event_recur CHAR(1) ,
                                event_repeats INT(3) ,
                                event_author BIGINT(20) UNSIGNED ,
                                event_category BIGINT(20) UNSIGNED NOT NULL DEFAULT 1 ,
                                event_link TEXT,
                                PRIMARY KEY (event_id)
)

It was working fine yesterday. I was able to make new events and now today, the table is missing? not to mention, I have 2 other tables: calendar_categories and calendar_config besides having wp_calendar_categories and wp_calendar_config. I even dropped the tables, deactivate and reactivated the plugin, and it still won't make the wp_calendar table! Why was it working fine yesterday and now it's not? Crazy! Good thing I know what I'm doing and you posted this sql for the table... I know when I set up my wordpress, I delete the part where it says to use wp_ for table prefixes so I don't know if that has something to do with getting two copies of the same tables with and without the prefix. Hope this helps...
