If the event is monthly then yes, it's implemented - for example you can have every 2nd Sunday of each month. Perhaps you can provide a link showing the issue? Iterative attempts have been made in the last few releases to make the title better, hopefully that has helped, if not, let me know how yours looks and I'll try to suggest options

Yes, this is about right; the calendar plugin was written back in the day when mobile browsing was not common (and even had support for IE6!!), so it doesn't resize all that well on the small screen.
