Programming
One of my passions in life is programming, I can’t get enough of it. To those ends I have decided to release a number of things I have written in different languages in the form of downloads on this page. The programs available here are complete and no longer under development. You can get support for the programs by contacting me, except where a link is provided for external support (usually a forum).
Small programs that I am currently developing (of which there are usually many) will eventually be made available here, but not made public before completion. Larger programs under development can be seen on the projects page. Projects on that page have development blogs that you are encouraged to comment on and subscribe to via RSS if you want to get updates.

Features

- Multiple server support if you use different hosts
- Easily changeable user variables; no need to touch code!
Usage Instructions
- Copy the code from the download into your text editor.
- Edit the variables at the top according to instructions and your domains and databases
- Save the file and make it executable by the user who will run it
- Create a directory in which you want your backups and pop the saved program in there too.
- Run the file when backups are required, or setup a cron job to do it nightly

Checks to see if a remote avatar in phpBB is accessable and present. If it is it is loaded into the forum like a conventional avatar, if not then a default “avatar not found” avatar is loaded in its place. This speeds up busy boards with long threads.
