When I’m cleaning windows
Ages ago I caught a snippet of a song over the radio. It was a comedy song, clearly taken from some kind of television show, and all I knew was it was something to do with cleaning windows. By complete chance I came accross a link on Google to a YouTube video of the very song with the TV clip included! Hell of a find in my humble opinion and as its pretty funny I thought I’d share it with you all.

Kieran,
George Formby was a legend in his own time. He starred in a number of films and comedy shorts in the 30s and 40s, a contempory of the brilliant Norman Wisdom. George was famous for his daft (often slapstick) performances and his ukelele! This song “When I’m Cleaning Windows” was from the film Keep Your Seats Please (1936).
I really love the George Formby films, they often have a real ‘feel goodd factor’ to them. I highly recommend them!
