I had to implemented something recently which matches exactly with what Kieran said. I had a tough time developing it. I would again blame it to the documentation Facebook has put up. After a lot of ordeal I was able to get it up and running, in case anyone wants to know what I did they may click <a href='http://xenonxm.blogspot.com/2009/06/photo-upload-to-facebook-from-your-php.html' rel="nofollow">here</a>, and save themselves from a lot of pain in case they already haven't got it running.
