The Irish Centre, a predecessor, probably still has air gun bullet holes when Iain Ballamy was playing once with Billy Jenkins. Is Coopers going to be the only alternative? Until this closure I really did think there was the market for it in Leeds, after all the jazz gigs and clubs are always full. Every time I see yet another generic place opening I almost cry. We're supposed to live in a world of variety but when it comes to music its almost like there is a hidden force trying to make us all listen to the same stuff. Totally agree with that one.
